A wetland is an ecosystem that is either covered by water or saturated water, that stores and purifies water quality, store flood water, and provides a home for many fauna and flora species.
Therefore, there is a substantial need to prioritize the attention given to wetlands.

The Wetland Day program collaborates with the Department Of Wildlife Conservation. The program consists of an awareness program for school students about the value of wetlands, a Study on Environmental Problems Affecting Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte Sanctuary, and a wetland bird survey in the sanctuary

YZA organised and completed a Leadership Training Camp from 15th to 17th July 2022, in collaboration with Sri Lanka Youth. The camp was conducted at the S. D. S. Jayasinghe Central College Dehiwala.
